Puppy Training in Frome

Build Strong Foundations From the Very Beginning

Welcoming a puppy into your family is exciting, rewarding and sometimes a little overwhelming. Those first weeks and months are an important time for building confidence, developing good habits and creating a strong relationship with your puppy.

At FromeK9, our experienced trainers and behaviourists will help you understand your puppy and develop the practical skills you need as they grow. Our training is reward based, supportive and enjoyable for both you and your puppy.

We Offer 6 week Puppy Training Courses and 1-2-1 Puppy Training

Choose our structured six-week puppy training course or book individual 1-2-1 puppy training sessions tailored to your puppy, family and lifestyle.

Every puppy attending our six-week group course follows the Royal Kennel Club Puppy Foundation programme as part of their training. On successful completion, you will receive a Royal Kennel Club Puppy Foundation certificate and rosette at no additional charge. Your puppy does not need to be registered with the Royal Kennel Club to take part.

Why Early Puppy Training Matters

Your puppy starts learning from the moment they arrive home. Positive early training helps establish good habits, builds confidence and gives you the skills to guide them consistently as they grow.

Early puppy training can help with:
Focus and engagement
Recall and loose-lead walking
Calm behaviour and settling
Confidence around people and dogs
Confidence in new environments
Biting, chewing and jumping up
Handling and grooming
Establishing useful routines
Most importantly, training helps you and your puppy understand and communicate with one another.

Puppy Training Built Around Your Puppy

Every puppy is an individual. Breed, temperament, previous experiences and home environment can all influence how they learn.
Our instructors adapt training to the puppy in front of them rather than applying the same approach to every dog. Classes are friendly, supportive and informative, giving you the confidence and practical skills to continue training successfully at home.
No previous dog-training experience is needed - we are here to help you both learn.

You and your puppy attend a one-hour class each week for six consecutive weeks. Classes run throughout the year in our enclosed training field or indoor training barn.
